I became an Early Childhood Director in 2003, very shortly into my career, when I joined Kent School located in Chestertown, Maryland. In 2010 I became the Director of the Little Creek at Radcliffe Creek School, a school for children with learning differences. There I gained great experience in Early Childhood Special Education which is a true passion of mine. In 2015 I became an adjunct instructor for Chesapeake College and in 2018 I became an instructor for Emergency Preparedness (Project Security Blanket) in Maryland. I have presented at conferences and written courses for continuing education in Early Childhood Education for Chesapeake College. I was also an instructor for All Leader of Little Learners. I was a member of the Chesapeake Childcare Advisory Board, a member of Kent & Queen Anne’s Counties Child Care Association, and was on the Board of The Kent Family Center.  I am the Outreach Coordinator for the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood at The University of Delaware

I am currently a senior at Neumann University where I will be graduating in December 2021 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have always had a passion for teaching young minds and watching students grow throughout the year. My teaching philosophy is to get to know my students personally and to get a feel of what they need to learn and grow to success. One of the most important things I have ever learned in my education classes is that every student learns differently and it is up to the teacher to understand what will help that specific student flourish. I am also a member of the Neumann University Softball team where we held events for students with disabilities to learn to play baseball and softball. I plan to continue my education at Neumann in January of 2022 to obtain my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I believe it does not matter what the students’ differences are, they should all have the same opportunities. I am excited to continue to learn and gain experience through working with Outside the Box Educational Consulting LLC.

Teaching is no new avenue for me as I began my work with special education students in high school and my love for it has not changed. After receiving my B.A. in Early Elementary and Special Education from Alvernia University, I spent my last four years teaching the preschool special education classroom for Queen Anne’s County. I love working with students and getting them a head start on their academic careers. I coach cheerleading and enjoy spending my time encouraging athletes in and outside of the classroom.

Linda Reish

My name is Linda Reish and I am a special education teacher.

I have over 40 years of experience in both private and public schools.  The majority of my time was spent with children in 4-8 grades. Most recently I was a Math teacher at the Radcliffe Creek School in Chestertown MD.

My passion is math and that is my specialty. After retirement, I began tutoring.  Math is difficult for some students. Many panic and believe that math is a foreign language.  Well, it is, and it can be understood and processed with the correct instruction. My job is to fit your child with the individual approach that he/she needs. My mission is to help your child with homework assignments, projects, math language, and basic skills.

And the bonus is: I love math and I will make it fun!

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, spending time with my grandson, going to the beach, reading, and am an avid tennis player.

After getting a degree in Journalism at U of MD, I was in business systems and equipment sales. My teaching years began as a Mommy and Me instructor and later as a classroom and community volunteer and always, an advocate in my son and daughter’s schools. After corporate moves to 4 states my family settled in Green Bay, Wisconsin and I earned a certificate in Early Childhood Education from NWT College. My ten year career as a lead instructor of 3 to 5 year olds in a large traditional Nursery School is where I found my teaching passion. The school’s dynamic curriculum was enhanced by great communication with parents, guiding multi-sensory play opportunities and being part of a successful mission focused on the whole child.  Since 2010 I’ve worked as a substitute in many area schools stepping in for teachers in grades PreK-12, covering all subjects and Co-Curricular areas. I have worked with small groups and one-on-one in a Special Education capacity. I’ve been awed to see winning moments as students have overcome obstacles and learned from teachers who are beyond gifted.  My wide scope of experience gives me understanding, respect and empathy for each young student on their unique educational path and I’m excited to be part of the OTBEC team.

Terri Stallone

I have 38 years of experience in education. I have served as a teacher, principal and consultant on county and state levels in elementary to high school grades as well as university graduate degree programs. I believe it is my role to guide the learner to discover new information and make connections with prior knowledge so that the new information has greater potential of being retained in long term memory. My philosophical stance is to help the learner develop habits to gather and break down information that utilizes the skills of critical thinking and problem solving so that they can learn independently with the self discipline to set and achieve long and short range goals.
